lilly in the rose garden

Library adventures!

Posted on: August 26, 2011

Honestly, I love the public library system now. I’ve been checking books out for years, but I never utilized it fully. I love taking computer and social classes there.

I just checked out the English GLBs. Fruits is on its way, too, in addition to various vintage fashion reference books. Lately I’ve been studying clothing from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. It’s all very fun– especially when my mom walks over and recognizes half the styles!

I learned how to use a cool new program today. It’s called Scratch, and from what I understand, it’s basically flash, only boiled down so that even kids can use it. I’m still very new to the whole concept, but I managed to make a simple dress up. Maybe I’ll draw some Lolita dolls and make another dress up using more original sprites. :) Would anybody like to see that?

Anyway, here’s the website. The program is completely free~ http://scratch.mit.edu/

Hair growth progress- As of June 2015- I regularly trim my own bangs and they look amazing- choppy and short. The split ends have ruined lives and murdered small children. I haven't had a proper salon cut since July 2013. I might get a trim of 4ish inches by the end of the summer? I'm lazy.
